2021

Sankalp, already a name to be reckoned with, gained an extra edge by launching The Sankalp Retail Store Franchise Model. This move generated tremendous response from the people even at the time of pandemic. Our first store was opened at Ahmedabad followed by Pune, Faridabad, Balotra, Sananad, Vapi, Jamnagar, Baroda, Rajkot, etc. Our retail store offers its customers an elaborate range of quick and easy to use products. The aim being to provide high customer satisfaction by giving them a wide and varied range of convenient & nutritious options. This truly made our Retail Store – “Your Favourite Neighborhood Store”.

2020

Even under the severe challenges posed by the pandemic, we have continued to achieve new heights. We launched our retail range in the domestic market to aid convenient food options to people stuck at home. As it stands today, SPF has added 200+ Frozen, Gourmet, Ready-to-Use, Heat & Eat and Instant Mixes. Suffice it to say that we have added an entirely new dimension to the art of fine dining.

2019

SPF continued to grow by leaps and bounds. This year we expanded our supplies to the major cities of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Delhi & NCR. We participated in international exhibitions to reach a worldwide customer base. Media campaigns, advertisements and the digital platform helped us to reach every home and truly resonate as The Taste of India.

2018

Cashing in on the Sankalp legacy of more than three decades, we put our distribution channels in place in metro cities and major cities of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhaya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and West Bengal. Despite the rapid expansion, we did not shift our focus from high quality, hygiene and impeccable service. In fact, our CMD, Dr. Goenka has placed a great premium on excellence in each and every parameter. This includes quality, authentic taste and uniqueness of products.

We then focused on tourist destinations especially those that were challenging in terms of logistics. The rationale behind this was firstly to assess our capability to reach our products to area that were not easily accessible. Secondly, to target the HORECA sector in such far flung places where hotels and restaurants have severe manpower shortages. Our products became a huge hit because they helped overcome the operational challenges faced by the F&B industry in such places. In the same year SPF took on itself the onus of making quality products available across the world. This too in easily consumable and convenient packs. We started export operations for these in Canada, USA, UK, Australia and the UAE.

2016

Sankalp Food Products’ journey has been an interesting one. Team SPF was extremely excited to take this new concept forward. We went on to start our first distribution chain from Mumbai. The reason to begin our entry from the Mumbai market was because it posed a challenge and was a good testing ground for our grit. It goes without saying that the Mumbai market is one of the most difficult to capture as it responds to particularly high standards in both taste and quality. Our consistent effort had ensured that we were ready with both. SPF’s successful foray into Mumbai ensured that it became a trailblazer in markets in other cities. The wide acceptance also encouraged us to invest in R&D for adding our portfolio with retail range for the export market.

2015

In 2015, the Sankalp Group, under the guidance of its CMD Dr. Kailash Goenka and the keen initiative of Ms. Akshara Bisht, launched an entirely new division – Sankalp Packaged Foods (SPF). SPF heralds the introduction of high quality frozen products as well as ready to cook range. Monumental research was undertaken that included various aspects like the viability and nutritive value of the products, their acceptability and prospective popularity of frozen foods. A lot of hard work at every stage finally resulted in overcoming initial hiccups and perfecting the concept. The result was the introduction of 120+ highly imaginative products.
